I have learned from both career and life experience that I have a real knack for finding structure and order in chaos. It’s my special hidden talent, if you will. I have always been drawn into situations where the more chaotic and wild the experience, the more calm and level headed I become. Almost like a horse with blinders, if there are fires, I more than likely have extreme focus on how to extinguish them. Cue me wanting to become an interventional radiologist, actually becoming a business manager and then switching into the visual and mental chaos that is software engineering. I find myself expertly weaving myself out of situations in a logical, organized fashion based on data. and maybe a hint of intuition. On top of that, I somehow single handedly and simultaneously have the ability to calm the temperaments of those around me. This is how Maelstrom Strategies was born.

Maelstrom has two definitions, the first one is a powerful whirlpool in the sea or a river. The second is a situation or state of confused movement or violent turmoil. Not only does it speak to my ability to flourish in chaos, but it’s a nod to one of my oldest nicknames: Mal.

From passionately building up the entrepreneurial visions and dreams of others, to courageously using my own creative and attentive abilities to become a Software Engineer. I have grown adept in making key decisions and working with other professionals to achieve goals and solve problems. A strong leader who works well under pressure and exudes positivity, I am highly organized, and skilled in written and verbal communication. 

I thrive in high-pressure and fast-paced situations, striving for positive results by applying my critical thinking and organizational leadership abilities. Further, I possess expertise in agile methodologies and acumen for maximizing performance and inspiring colleagues. I am able to visualize success and identify unconventional yet highly effective strategies for achieving it.
